YES introduced the new Ricoma SWD series single-head ‘large embroidery solution’ in March.
“Featuring a wide body and high-clearance, the innovative and intuitive single-head possesses all the main industry features on one machine,” explained the company. Offering 15 needles and a maximum speed of 1,000 stitches per minute, this networkable and wifi-capable machine is said to be perfect for embroidering caps thanks to its 270º wide cap angle system, as well as garments, bags and accessories.
John-Paul Burton, YES sales director, said: “The SWD series boasts one of, if not the, widest embroidery area on any machine and the optional extended table allows users to extend their creative reach, providing 1,200mm x 500mm of embroidery space. This futuristic single-head provides ample room for larger and bulk areas, allowing the user to embroider coats, beach towels and even luggage.”
Designed to run around the clock, the machine has an 8″ touchscreen panel that offers automatic colour change, built-in camera function and pre-sew design tracing, along with a memory capacity of 20 million stitches or 200 designs and a maximum ‘standard’ embroidery area of 800mm x 500mm.
