You know the name, now get to know the person! Tracy Richards, UK and Ireland sales at Neutral, talks about her love for animals, MasterChef, and being a competitive badminton player
How long have you been working in the industry?
I’ll say this very quietly: over 30 years.
What’s the best thing that’s ever happened to you at work?
I think it has been joining the Neutral family, where you can make a difference every day.
Which three words would your friends use to describe your personality?
Kind, caring and enthusiastic.
What’s your favourite TV show?
I’m a keen MasterChef fan.
Tomato ketchup or brown sauce?
Tomato every time.
What fact about you surprises people?
I am an animal lover, and in the last few years have had dogs, horses, alpacas, chickens, pigs, turkeys and runner ducks. My latest addition is Alma, a Jura hound I rescued from Cyprus.
What’s your most unappealing habit?
Always getting lost or missing turnings when driving.
What’s your greatest ambition?
To be a badminton world champion in my age group. I’m already in training for the over 75s, which will give me a few years yet.
What’s your hidden talent?
I play competitive badminton for a local club, Wiltshire, and in national competitions.
If you could have anyone else’s job, whose would you want?
I would love to be the keeper for the penguin section at London Zoo.
If you could be anywhere on earth right now, where would you be?
Anywhere warm, walking along barefoot in the sea.
Which gadget or app couldn’t you live without?
A sat nav.
If you could ask one person (living or dead) one question, what would you ask?
If I could ask Sir David Attenborough a question, it would be: “Despite the significant environmental challenges the world faces, what keeps you motivated and hopeful in your work and advocacy?”
