The pencil cases are packed and the shoes have been polished, September is here – and as soon as the Back-to-School season is over it will be time to start planning your schoolwear supplies for the coming year

Knitted school styles

Balmoral provides school knitwear in a wide range of yarns, including wool-acrylic, wool-nylon, 100% acrylic and cotton-acrylic. The company makes bespoke styles of pullovers, cardigans, hats, scarves and other garments, with options for special shades and stripes. Balmoral also offers a stock range of school knitwear styles that are ready for embroidery.

AWDis Academy

Key schoolwear styles

The AWDis Academy range has five key styles for primary and secondary schools. The Academy Raglan Sweatshirt (AC001) and Kids Academy Raglan Sweatshirt (AC001J) both feature twin-needle stitching and a label at the back neck. The Academy V-Neck Sweatshirt (AC003) and Kids Academy V-Neck Sweatshirt (AC003J) offer a V-neck alternative, which AWDis Academy says is ideal for layering: both feature a ribbed neckline, cuffs and hemline. The range also includes the Kids Academy Cardigan (AC002J) featuring set-in sleeves, self-coloured button fastenings and two front patch pockets.

Weather protection

The Classic School Jacket (TRA376) from Regatta provides plenty of weather protection thanks to waterproof Hydrafort 5000 technology, windproofing, 120 gsm insulation wadding and Thermo-Guard insulation. For protection on the rainiest days, Regatta recommends its Kids Classic Rain Suit (TRW468). The rain suit features waterproof Hydrafort 5000 polyester fabric, taped seams and a concealed hood to help keep children and their uniform dry and protected. It also packs down into a lightweight mesh bag, which makes it easy to carry to and from school.

Matching adults and kids styles

For schoolwear, Henbury offers many knitwear products in smaller sizes, such as the V-Neck Jumper (H720/H721), which is lightweight and comfortable. This product is available in two new colours for 2016, burgundy and royal. The brand says this style is ideal for schoolwear thanks to its simplistic and functional form. Also available is the V-Button Cardigan (H722/H723). Henbury advises that the cardigan is an established schoolwear style, featuring a semi-fashioned armhole and neck along with a ribbed neck trim. Henbury’s Kids Tipped Polo (H459) matches the adult style (H450), which is a handy choice for older kids who are in-between sizes.
