Dress ‘em up or dress ‘em down, T-shirts are a garment decorator’s best friend. We’ve gathered together a few of the high street’s top tees and found their perfect imprint pair
Zara always has its finger on the fashion pulse and its Flowing Unisex T-shirt from the Ungendered Collection is a classic example of the way it takes a simple design and makes it instantly desirable. Bella+Canvas, another brand that knows exactly what its market wants, has a great matching pair in the Flowy Scoop Muscle Tee (8803) with its low cut armholes and relaxed fit.
Also hitting the trend high notes is River Island’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC) Cold Shoulder Brick Print top, designed by Olivia Rubin to celebrate FTBC’s 20th anniversary. Cut-out shoulders are slated to be a hit this summer, which Skinnifit demonstrates with its T-Shirt With Drop Detail (SK233). Mantis World always keeps a close eye on emerging fashions as its 100% organic cotton Women’s Roll Sleeve T (M81) with bartack-finish rolled sleeves shows. It makes a fabulous imprint pair for the roll sleeve tee from the SS16 collection of Pretty Little Things.
Stripes are shaping up to be a winner this season with the Sailor Tee Breton Ecru Coulis from Seasalt Cornwall a classic, 100% organic cotton example. Its imprint pair is Sol’s new-for-2016 Miles (01399) T-shirt made from 100% ringspun cotton and available in ash/ lemon, white/navy and white/red.
Those looking for a more vintage, rugged look will love Superdry’s super cool Copper Label Cafe Racer T-shirt. This classic cotton crew neck T-shirt features a distressed, cracked print on the chest and number print on one sleeve, as well as a badge on the hem and sleeve. To recreate its style, the hand-dyed, heavyweight cotton Mineral Wash T (TD003) from Colortone is a great starting point.
