TheMagicTouch (TMT) is now bringing its new T.One transfer printing system to the garment decoration market following the huge success of its initial launch to current customers.

Over the past few months, users of white toner printers from TheMagicTouch (TMT) have been given an advance introduction to the new T.One transfer paper. TMT reports a more than 90% take-up by current customers, and the company is now ready to roll out the paper in the wider marketplace.

TMT describes T.One as a new and unique transfer paper, and a “game changer” for the image transfer garment decoration business. This one-step coated paper has been designed for use with the TMT/Oki white toner printers: it requires no cutting or weeding, and leaves no residue on the finished garment. “The product has been marketed over the past four months to the existing ‘White-Toner’ users in over 25 countries and has been an outstanding success,” says TMT.

The T.One paper allows users to print full colour, including white, designs on any pastel, white or non-dark garment or textile regardless of colour or composition. “This includes cotton, polyester, denim, soft-shell, polypongee and most performance fabrics,” explained TMT. “The process is very economical when considering breast and sleeve logos where a full colour transfer is below 10p each.”

The heat press application can be as low as 140°C, with the printed transfer then sealed using the supplied silicon sheet, leaving it durable to washing and with a great feel.

The TMT/Oki white toner printer (which comes with a three-year guarantee) plus the incorporated SpaceControl RIP software allow printing on to a wide range of substrates including dark mugs, PU surfaces, metal, wood, board and even human skin.

TMT also offers metallic foils that can be applied directly to the printed T.One transfers. The paper also complements the existing Two-Step WoW transfer process, which is suitable for all black and dark colour garments and textiles thanks to the higher white opacity requirement.

Jim Nicol, TMT’s UK managing director, commented: “This great innovation makes it easier for our customers to capitalise on the continued success from producing personalised samples for customer evaluation that assists them in their sales and marketing, helping to create new business opportunities.”
