Result’s new Stealth and Phantom styles draw inspiration from the current retro trend for classic MA1 bomber jackets
Result has introduced a number of new jackets this autumn, with the new Stealth Hooded Jacket (R403X) being a stand-out style. That’s partly thanks to it being based on the classic MA1 bomber jacket, as worn by American bomber pilots in the late 50s. It’s a look that is currently enjoying a big fashion moment, making the Stealth Hooded Jacket the on-trend choice for outerwear. “The main reason for introducing the R403X was indeed to keep in line with the current MA1 retro trend,” confirms Result director Sara Sanders-Smith.
This unisex, slim-fit jacket is box-quilted, water-repellent and windproof. Result adds that it “perfectly blends performance with style”. It has a hand-filled, 250g, 100% fake-down polyester filling, a nylon lining and a double-zip, interchangeable storm flap and hood, all of which delivers great upper body warmth. It packs down to a compact size, making it an ideal travelling companion, and features knitted rib cuffs and waist, zipped pockets, inner pocket and a hangtag. It comes in black, and is available in sizes XS-3XL.

Also new from Result, and also heavily inspired by the MA1 jacket, is the Phantom MA1 Soft Shell (R405M&F). This water-repellent, windproof, diamond-quilted softshell jacket has a slim fit and is ready to brand. It uses a soft, elastane-free, crimped yarn, stretch fabric for comfort while the 80g, 100% polyester filling keeps the wearer toasty warm.
The jacket’s other features include ultrasonic, dot-welded diamond quilt-detail; a hinged inner neck panel for self-branding; elasticised bound cuff and waist; Grosgrain tape ribbon detail, knitted rib collar; welt pockets; and a full front zip.
The R405M&F is available in a choice of navy or black, and in sizes S-3XL for men, and in sizes XS-2XL for women.
