Check it out – retail-savvy imprint brand, Brave Soul is setting the fashion agenda this season with a dozen on-trend long sleeve check shirts
New for autumn from Brave Soul is a range of check shirts aimed firmly at the fashion crowd, as befits this retail-savvy brand. There are six check designs in the range – Duffey, Garvey, Persuader, Slater, Tame and Ivory – each with two colourways, giving customers a choice of 12 distinctive styles.
Made from 100% brushed cotton with a longer length, curved bottom hem, the shirts are unisex and feature a classic point collar and chest pocket. They are available in sizes S-XL (36/38”-42/44”).
“They’re on-trend, perfect for decoration and look great on both men and women,” confirms Kieran Murphy, head of marketing at Ralawise. “The check shirt trend was huge in retail last year and our research indicates that it is going to continue this autumn/winter. There has already been some cross-over into the decoration channel and we feel there is a great opportunity here.”

He suggests the look is ideal for cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as for other workwear and corporate sectors, adding: “In fact, any company looking to differentiate themselves with a hot and on-trend product. As they are soft, strong and hardwearing, they can be worn for many applications.”
Kieran says Ralawise has invested in stock so as to allow customers “to buy with complete confidence”, and the variety of colours on offer means companies should easily find one to coordinate with their brand colours. Colourways include black/blue/yellow, navy/red/blue, mid-blue/black/grey, red/black/grey, khaki/navy/white, wine/grey/white, navy/green, navy/red, black/silver/grey, navy/red/denim blue, black/white and navy/white.
According to Kieran, there has been a great response to the shirts with customers ordering them ahead of the official launch on 1 August. As to whether there will be more shirts added to the range, he responds: “We are always looking at ways to develop and move things on, so watch this space. What is exciting is how the product complements many of the outerwear launches that we are planning this autumn!”
