A new feature has been added to enhance Amfori, the sustainability platform used by clothing manufacturers in the garment decoration sector.
It has added a “Continuous Improvement” feature to help its member companies and their suppliers to take proactive and practical steps to minimise risks relating to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
It is designed for companies to use after audits conducted under the Amfori BSCI and Amfori BEPI initiatives for compliance with social and environmental standards respectively.
It guides suppliers through a step-by-step process to identify root causes, define corrective and preventive actions, and track progress over time, aiming to make it easier to turn audit results into meaningful and measurable improvements.
Linda Kromjong, president of Amfori, said: “Risk prevention is not a one-time action: it’s a continuous journey. This new method supports our members and their suppliers to move beyond audit compliance and toward long-term resilience.
“By simplifying the process and encouraging collaboration, we’re helping businesses share responsibility and build stronger, more transparent, responsible and sustainable supply chains.”
Amfori has introduced the continuous improvement feature to align with evolving regulatory ESG expectations, supporting businesses in meeting ESG due diligence requirements with a practical and scalable solution.
Amfori is a global business association for sustainable trade with many garment manufacturers and suppliers as members including Alsico, AS Colour, Chadwick Teamwear, Fruit of the Loom and Russell Athletic, Gustav Daiber and Ralawise.
