“It’s a bit out there, but I love the Barricane polo shirt from Leo Workwear,” says production manager Jenny. “As a uni student I started working for a traffic management company, parking cars at festivals over the summer and had to wear hi-vis all the time and the sewn-in bands are so uncomfy, especially in the heat.
“This polo has the reflective bands printed on so you barely notice they are there. It’s now what we recommend to all of our corporate customers who order hi-vis polos. They are really easy to print with a nice big space on the back shoulders for a full-colour corporate logo, and also space on the front if needed too.
“We find most of our corporate customers who order these only have a print on the back as staff wearing them are often digging a hole or busy working and their front can’t be seen.“
A family company, Sprint Sports was set up in 1997, explains Jenny. “When Sprint Sports first began (before I was even born!) and when my mum Bev was a keen athlete, attending athletic events, but always forgetting some of her kit, her dad (my grandad, and founder of our family business) would end up buying spares.” He became known as the person to get sports kit from and decided to turn it into a business in 1977.

Nearly 50 years later, the company is still thriving and has a huge variety of clients including primary and secondary schools, Scouts and Guides, rugby, netball, martial arts, beekeepers, operatic groups, walking groups, running clubs, and many more.
