Screen Ink and Solvent Supplies (SISS) has expanded its services distributing to the screen print market by acquiring Birmingham-based Premier Screen Services.
SISS will absorb Premier into its UK operations, distributing from its head office in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and its manufacturing facility in Kent.
Family-run Premier Screen Services, based in Duddeston in Birmingham, distributed screens and screen print supplies across the Midlands.
It was founded in 1987 by its managing director Phil Lewis who decided to sell the business on his retirement.
SISS has pledged to continue to offer the same service and back-up to Premier Screen Services’ customer base.
Tony Gravell, sales director of SISS, said: “Phil did a great job building and servicing a loyal customer base. It is important that we carry this on and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”
SISS is a UK distributor for MagnaColours inks, Rutland inks, Exile Technologies, Fujifilm Sericol, Chromaline, Alkemi and several other brands. It also manufactures screen cleaning chemicals for manual and automatic screen cleaning.
Originally set up in 1998, SISS also operates and owns online business Wicked Printing Stuff, selling screen printing equipment, products and services.
