New for 2016 is the Touchline Jacket (LV650) from Finden+Hales, a mid-thigh length jacket which features a concealed hood in the collar and zipped pockets. Finden+Hales also recommends the Team Base Layer (LV260) for winter sports, which is made from Coolpass moisture-wicking fabric. This can be layered with the Crewneck Warmup Drill Top (LV845), which is made from 100% polyester microfibre, and features a mesh-lined body, polyester satin-lined sleeves and an embroidery access zip in the inner side seam.
Kustom Kit’s Gamegear range is designed for sports and teamwear. The Gamegear Warmtex Base Layer (KK979) works to keep wearers warm underneath their normal sports clothing thanks to its Warmtex technology, which regulates body temperature. The garment comes in four colourways and can be worn alone as well as layered underneath other garments. The fabric is suitable for a variety of decoration techniques.
The Slalom Boarder Beanie (B482, pictured) and Slopeside Waffle Beanie (B433) are great “for those keen to take on the fresh powder,” says Beechfield. The beanies are made from warm, technical knits and feature internal Suprafleece thermal bands. The Chamonix Combi Beanie (B435) is also a practical option for snow sport headwear, featuring a removable pom pom so it fits comfortably under a helmet, while the Twist- Knit Pom Pom Beanie (B485) is made using twisted yarns for eye-catching snugness.
Ralawise says 2786’s wind-resistant and waterproof range of jackets is ideal for sportspeople in the winter months. The Full Padded Jacket (TS16F/TS016) is available in both men’s and women’s fits and is available in seven colours. It is polyfill quilted and features a fully lined hood, and offers easy rebranding and customisation as it comes with tear-out labels and zip access for embroidery.
The H862 Quarter Zip Wicking Top is a pull-over style with wicking technology that transports moisture to the fabric’s surface keeping the wearer dry. The top can be layered over Henbury’s Coolplus range of polos: the Men’s and Ladies’ Polos (H475/H476), Wicking/ Antibacterial Polo (H472), and CoolTouch Textured Polo (H473). The Wicking/Antimicrobial Polo also features the Aegis Microbe Shield yarn, which helps to control odour, stains and deterioration, making it ideal for sportswear. The men’s Long Sleeved Roll Neck Top (H020) provides an ideal a base layer for wearing underneath one of these polos, says Henbury.
Orn highlights its Tern Softshell Jacket (4200/4260) for year-round wear. The jacket is made from a high-performance technical fabric, which is waterproof and breathable, and it features an adjustable cuff and an elasticated hem with side adjusters to control the jacket’s fit. It also features three external pockets with zip closures and has a secure internal mobile phone pocket and twin pen pocket. The jacket is made with twin-needle stitched seams for added durability, and is available in both men’s and women’s sizes.
