Midi Print Co’s ‘Hands of Miles’ Golden Image Competition award winning print

The SGIA has announced the winners of this year’s Golden Image Competition. The Best of Show: Garment award was won by Midi Print Co for ‘Hands of Miles’, its gold winning entry in Category 9: Finished Garments (Dark), Single Multicolor Entries.

Midi also won a silver award in Category 8: Finished Garments (Light), True Process Color Entries with its Jimi Hendrix print. Anderson Studio’s Keith Urban Ripcord print scooped gold in this category, while Apparel Graphics took top spot in Category 9: Finished Garments (Dark) Simulated/Index with its Ink Addict design.

The annual competition celebrates industry-leading excellence and covers almost every item, no matter how complex, created by specialty imaging. Hundreds of entries were evaluated by an elite team of imaging professionals, who awarded gold, silver and bronze ribbons to the best prints.

“The Golden Image award recognises the highest quality printers who achieve remarkable control and ability,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s vice president of technical services. “Only the best in the industry are awarded this prestigious honour.”
