New pink and yellow dyes to expand Texart’s printing possibilities

Today, Roland DG announced the release of its new fluorescent ink, especially formulated for use with its Texart XT-640 and RT-640 wide-format dye-sublimation printers. The new fluorescent inks, which come in pink and yellow, will be available mid-July 2016 in a configuration of CMYKOrViFpFy for the Texart XT-640 and RT-640 printers with ErgoSoft Roland Edition software RIP.

The fluorescent colours can be combined with Roland DG’s existing Texart process ink colours to create a variety of vivid fluorescent shades. For ease of use, the Fluor Color Library swatch palette can be installed in Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW to customise the colours and incorporate them into designs.

Yuko Maeda, division president of Digital Printing market development for Roland DG, said: “We believe the addition of Fluor Ink will not only enhance the versatility of our Texart printers, but greatly expand textile printing possibilities for our users, especially for sports and fashion apparel.”

Samples of textile applications created with fluorescent ink will be showcased by Roland DG at the international tradeshow for print and cross-media solutions, drupa. The trade show will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from 31 May to 10 June, and Roland DG will be in Hall 9 at booth E04-1.
