Perfect for winter runs, these performance polyester T-shirts from Roly were printed by Ribble Apparel for this year’s Rivington Trail Half Marathon.
These T-shirts and caps for the Rivington Trail Half Marathon were printed by Ribble Apparel, an eco-conscious printing and embroidery studio, based in Ribble Valley, Lancashire. Founded by Nick Wilkins in 2014, the business offers custom print and embroidery services to brands and businesses.
The Rivington Trail Half Marathon takes place along official pathways around Rivington. It’s organised and marshalled by Chorley Women FC, an independently run and self-funded football club for whom the race is a major annual fundraiser. Ribble Apparel has supplied the event shirts for the last four years.
“We created the artwork to suit the new brand colours for Chorley Women FC, and printed a DTF transfer to the front,” explains Nick. “We were also asked for something cost-effective that would further promote the event, so we also printed a few caps for the winners of a fun competition they had for ‘best pose and facial expression’.”

The customer ordered 100 shirts, all with the same print. “Both the shirts and caps were sourced from Roly,” says Nick. “The shirts are 100% polyester and moisture wicking in a short-sleeve raglan style – so they were ideal for the event.”
Nick adds: “We outsourced DTF prints and pressed in-house, and we adapted and inverted the logo to suit the black caps.”
He reports that the customer was “very satisfied” with the final product, sharing details of the shirt on their Facebook page, and saying that Ribble Apparel had “once again done them proud”, with T-shirts that are “perfect for winter running.”
