Print-on-demand and fulfilment company Printful has appointed Parsla Basko as chief people officer to look after its teams around the world including the UK.
With an extensive background in human resources and recruitment, she brings “significant experience in strategic talent management, effective employer branding and company culture development”.
She will be part of Printful’s management team alongside Alex Saltonstall, who joined as CEO in October last year, and Adam Malpocher who took over as chief financial officer in February this year.
Alex said: “Parsla immediately adds expertise and experience to our leadership team. Even more importantly, her vision and considerable capabilities will enable us to build, develop and support a high-performing team at every level of the organisation and in each of our locations across the world.
“Our people and culture are Printful’s greatest strengths, and I am confident that Parsla will help us build on this strong foundation and propel the ongoing growth and success of Printful.”
With bases in North Carolina and Latvia, Printful officially opened its print, embroidery and fulfilment facility in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands last year. It also has premises in California, Texas, Canada, Spain and Mexico.
Parsla’s previous experience includes serving as human resources and management development and transformation director at retail giant Rimi Baltic Group and human resources and administration director for the Baltic countries at brewer Aldaris, owned by the Carlsberg Group.
She has also managed human resources and internal communication for the Baltic region for digital automation and energy management group Schneider Electric. Most recently, she co-founded recruitment agency Find Ada while also serving as business partner and CEO of strategic HR and employer branding consulting firm ERDA.
She said: “Printful’s success is truly inspiring, and I am excited to join an already ambitious team. I am sure that my previous experience in corporate culture, talent development and HR management processes will help us achieve our goals together.
“And I am also personally excited by the global challenge — to make Printful one of the best places to work for people not only in Latvia but all over the world.”
Before joining Printful, Adam Malpocher was chief financial officer and head of mergers and acquisitions at Dragonfly Commerce, a specialist in e-commerce businesses. He was previously head of finance and strategic projects at US retail group Wayfair.
