Whether it’s pedigree pups or mangy mutts, decorators’ dogs are valued members of staff at embroidery and print shops from Barking to Furness. To celebrate their invaluable contribution we’ll be featuring a canine star in every issue, beginning with Pooh, the resident hound at Monster Press in Westbury
Full name: Pooh
Breed: Jack Russell X Border Terrier
Age: Eight (56 in dog years)
Employment history: She’s been working for ‘room and board’ since 2007
Job description: Shipping and receiving assistant – that is, barking at postmen
Special skills: Sniffing customers in inappropriate places, barking, squeaking, scurrying, fetching tennis balls, tackling Gildan box agility courses, sleeping under the dryer, long lunch breaks spent hanging with the guard dogs down the road
Favourite shade of grey: Cool Gray 11C. Because of her colour-seeing limitations, (given she’s a dog), it’s one of the few colours she can accurately mix
