Global print on-demand specialists Printify and Printful are looking ahead to growth and “faster innovation” under the new platform name, Fyul.
Pronounced like “fuel”, it has been created to bring together the expertise, infrastructure and technology of the two companies, along with e-commerce specialist Snow Commerce.
It follows the announcement of the merger of Printful and Printify in November last year. The new name was formed by combining the two last letters of each business.
Equipped with direct-to-garment (DTG) and embroidery machines, Printful serves the UK from a fulfilment centre in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands.
The two print-on-demand brands will each continue to work with their own customers and partners but with the backing of “the increased power and adaptability of the collective Fyul platform”.
Fyul CEO Alex Saltonstall, formerly CEO of Printful, said: “Our well known and much-loved brands – Printful, Printify and Snow Commerce – have always delivered amazing value to our customers.
“Now they can continue to do so but, with the power of the Fyul platform backing them, enabling faster innovation that creates the best solutions in the industry.
“Fyul brings together technology, talent and supply chain infrastructure to make on-demand merchandise work on a global scale, for everyone from first-time sellers to global brands.
“Our mission is simple but powerful: to be the engine that powers all e-commerce merchandise, made on-demand.”
The teams are currently coming together in new headquarters for Fyul in the Latvian capital of Riga, due to be finalised early next year.
Pārsla Baško, Fyul’s chief people and culture officer, who has led the integration management, said: “The launch of Fyul also coincides with the first anniversary of the merger announcement, marking a key milestone in the company’s evolution from three pioneering brands into a single, unified global platform.”
