Falk & Ross Group Europe, one of the largest suppliers of garments for decoration in Europe, has been taken over by Belgium-based The Cotton Group.

The new owner revealed the takeover in a statement to customers, adding that Falk & Ross would continue to operate as an independent multi-brand wholesaler within the group.

The Cotton Group’s managing director, Murielle Degeest, said the acquisition “marks a significant step in our shared journey towards growth, innovation and excellence in the textile and wholesale industries”.

She added that customers would benefit from the takeover because it would enable the two companies to combine their respective areas of expertise to provide more value.

The company, based in Sembach in Germany, will sit alongside The Cotton Group’s other business brands: B&C Collection for promotional clothing and Wenaas, Clinic & Job Dress, Hejco, Martinson and Sverre W Monsen for workwear.

Falk & Ross Group Europe previously operated in the UK as majority shareholder of BTC Activewear which was acquired by Sweden-based investor New Wave Group in 2022. Falk & Ross now operates across Europe except the UK.

The Cotton Group, based in Waterloo in Belgium, was acquired by Danish investment firm Dyvig Holdings in 2021 in association with its Danish co-owner, Michael Hauge Sørensen.
