Clothing brand Neutral won the award for best overall new product at this spring’s series of The BIG Promotional Trade Show and The BIG Wearables Trade Show.
Exhibiting alongside other suppliers in the garment decoration sector, Neutral won for its Tiger Cotton range which is made with 100% organic-in-conversion cotton. The trophy was presented to Tracy Richards, country manager for Neutral UK.
The award came at the end of the 2023 spring season for the two shows which culminated in events at Old Trafford in Manchester and the Marriott London Heathrow hotel in April. The best stand award went to Regatta Professional.
After a “busy” Heathrow show, the organisers reported an increase in attendees of more than 40% on average across the shows.
Other exhibitors included Fruit of the Loom, Russell Europe, Result, Regatta, NJ Garments, YES Group, Headwear UK, United Brands of Scandinavia, Direct Textiles + Bags and Eurocap.
Chris Farr, sales representative at United Brands of Scandinavia, said: “These shows are a great opportunity to see customers, and not just senior management, and allows us to educate them about our garments.
“Many customers get to visit that would not have been released to go to national trade shows and it gives us an opportunity to educate and engage on the features and benefits of our clothing. Customers are bombarded with online messages but our garments require touch and feel.
“As a wholesaler, our brief is only as good as the distributor – many shy away from garments and embroidery as a branding process. Comparisons can be made and education taken to another step face to face – much better than images and catalogues and online presence.”
The organisers of the two shows return in June with The Green and New Promo Show and then in September with the autumn series of The BIG New Products Trade Show and The BIG Wearables Trade Show.
