The Mutoh ValueJet 405GT CMYK + White desktop printer
Mutoh introduced the ValueJet 1938TX, a brand-new 1910mm wide, dual staggered head, high quality direct-to-textile printer, and the all new ValueJet 404GT CMYK and ValueJet 405GT CMYK + White desktop direct-to-garment printers at the ITMA 2015 show in Milan.
The ValueJet 1938TX is aimed at sampling, short-run on-demand and local digital production of garments, swimwear and many other fabrics. The printer has a dual staggered head design; variable drop printing; print resolutions up to 1440dpi; production speeds of up to 40m2/h; newly engineered high-end fabric feeding, front and back tensioning, and take-up system for media weights up to 100kg; and an integrated gutter system.
The VJ-404/405GT are Mutoh’s first ever direct-to-garment printers. The VJ-404GT is a CMYK model, whereas the VJ-405GT has CMYK + White with a dedicated ink circulation system for the white. These desktop printers have been specifically developed for direct printing on T-shirts, caps, bags, shoes and so on. They have a wide print area and an easy-to-use LCD touchscreen, and can be equipped with different size, interchangeable print platens. The machines offer piezo drop on demand inkjet technology and print resolutions up to 1200 x 1200 dpi, and come with Mutoh’s ‘layout and print’ software tool.
