The M&R Companies have won three Product of the Year Awards at SGIA 2016. The Abacus II secured top spot in the Manual Garment Press category, the Gauntlet III was awarded Product of the Year in the Automatic Garment Press category and the Insignia won the Automatic Graphic Pressof the year award.
The Abacus II combines M&R’s versatile numbering system with the Chameleon carousel’s 20-printhead Duo-Deck configuration, making it easy to print two-color numbers. The servo index system allows perfect positioning of virtually any digit size or type. Users simply enter the dimensions of the digits to be printed and the desired gap between the digits.
The Gauntlet III is a high-production mid-size automatic press that offers a range of innovative standard features and options. These include a squeegee/floodbar park feature; a laser locator system; the Revolver Print Program; the Ink Dip System; Automatic Pallet Pre-Heat Mode, icon-based touchscreen labeling; Maintenance Minder; and an integrated stopwatch. The press is available in 10-16 colours with a maximum standard image area of 19” x 22”.
M&R President & CEO Rich Hoffman commented, “Customer service, innovative design, and quality products form the foundation M&R was built on, and it’s extremely gratifying to have three of our products recognized for their innovation and quality. Our factory technicians are obsessed with manufacturing the highest quality presses in the industry, and our engineers and the other members of our research and development department are engaged in an ongoing effort to find ways to help garment decorators work more quickly, more productively, and more profitably. And we’ll continue those efforts in the years ahead.”
