Bright colours, tie-dyes and supersoft babywear
BTC activewear offers a wide range of babywear and childrenswear, including the Babybugz range from Mantis. This line offers a range of pieces made from supersoft fabrics, including the BZ25 Baby All in One, which features a single layer hood and kangaroo pockets, and has extra-long cuffs at sleeves and legs, allowing it to be worn folded or unfolded as the baby grows. It is available in vanilla and washed grey mélange colourways.
The Active by Stedman range includes the ST5180 Children’s Teddy Fleece jacket, a microfleece complete with anti-pilling treatment. It has a contrast fleece inside and features a stand-up collar and contrast binding. Also from the brand is the ST5770 Children’s Sweat Jacket, which has a full zip, kangaroo pocket, decorative flatlock seams, and a double fabric hood without drawcord. It is available in a choice of four bright colours.
The new 5000TDY Tie-Dye Children’s Spiral T-Shirt gives customers a bright alternative to usual tees. It comes in six hand-dyed designs, features double-needle stitching throughout and shoulder-to-shoulder taping, and comes in sizes XS-L.
Not just for school
Russell’s children’s clothes are marketed under its Jerzees Schoolgear brand, but the brand says the clothes are ideal for out-of-school hours too.
The range of sweats includes the Classic Sweatshirt (762B) with crew-neck available in eleven colours, the V-Neck Sweatshirt (272B) and the V-Neck Cardigan (273B) in ten colours. All three styles are made with 50% combed ring-spun cotton/50% polyester for a soft hand feel. The 575B Hoodie has been given a major overhaul in its cut, design features and colour palette: there are now 16 colours to choose from. The sweats are available for ages three to 12 years, apart from the Classic Sweat which starts at age one.
Russell has two fleeces – Full Zip (870B) and Quarter Zip (874B) – and three jackets: a Reversible Jacket (875B), Hydraplus 2000 (510B) and Soft Shell (140B). The Reversible Jacket offers customers an option of a showerproof or fleece outer with reflective tape on both sides for safety. The Hydraplus 2000 has a water-repellent finish that is water-resistant to 2000mm and has taped seams for full weather protection.
All of the products have Oeko-Tex and WRAP accreditations.

Comfortable yet tough kids’ clothes
Henbury explains that its childrenswear has been designed to be both comfortable and durable to cope with the inevitable falls and endless playing that comes with being a kid. It recommends its H459 Tipped Polo, which matches the adults’ H450 polo, comes in six colour combinations and in sizes from age 3/4 years to 11/12 years, with the H450 featuring an XS size that provides a perfect fit for most teenagers.
For the colder months there is Henbury’s knitwear range, which includes the H720 Men’s and Ladies’ H721 V-Neck jumper: this starts at size 2XS and so is great for older kids who need to look smart.
