Mimaki has announced the launch of a new UV roll-to-roll printer designed to make high-quality UV printing “more accessible”.
The two new models – UJV200-160 and UJV200-130 – aim to help print service providers to expand into a broader range of applications.
Alongside other print technology for garment and textile printing, Mimaki will be showcasing the new machines for the first time in Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Fespa Global Print Expo in Barcelona in May.
The printer features an enhanced dot adjustment system (DAS2), enabling automatic image quality adjustment with significantly reduced set-up time and media consumption.
The system operates effectively across transparent and coloured media, ensuring consistent output quality, regardless of operator experience, helping to streamline production processes.
Leveraging UV technology, the UJV200 uses instant ink curing, allowing prints to be handled, finished and installed immediately after production. This supports faster turnaround times helping print service providers to respond quickly to time-sensitive jobs.
The low-temperature curing process allows printing on a wide variety of substrates, including heat-sensitive materials, further expanding application possibilities.
The UV curing process also leads to more energy-efficient production by eliminating the need for pre- and post-heating required by heat-based technologies.
Andrew Gregory, sales director at Mimaki’s exclusive UK and Ireland distributor, Hybrid Services, added: “The 200 Series has already set a new standard for solvent print and we are excited to expand this to UV print with the UVJ200.”
After the launch at Fespa 2026, the UJV200 will be available to view at Hybrid’s showroom in Crewe.
