A new vibrant white water-based ink for hybrid screen printing has been added to the MagnaColours portfolio.

The PVC-free MagnaPrint Hybrid Fusion Vibrant White promises a curing time that is “half as long as the leading competitor’s water-based ink”. It is also designed to eliminate the need for a topcoat.

It has been developed for hybrid screen printing, also called digital hybrid screen printing, which combines traditional screen printing with digital printing technology, which is a versatile option for printing on various fabric types.

As a base for hybrid digital screen printing systems, the flexible, soft, high-opacity ink is described as providing “impeccable detail, vibrancy and strong wash fastness without needing a topcoat or additives”.

Jake Ojeda, global marketing director for colour, additives and inks at MagnaColours owner Avient, said: “This efficiency not only allows for reduced energy consumption during printing but also enhances overall throughput, giving printers even more versatility in achieving their screen printing sustainability goals.”

MagnaPrint Hybrid Fusion Vibrant White is certified to Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex with ZDHC Conformance Level 3 and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) approval.

It is available from MagnaColours distributors including Colenso, Pyramid Textiles and SISS.
