Imprint Promotions in Uxbridge took delivery of an eight-head Tajima embroidery machine in April in response to an increasing number of orders. The purchase follows the completion of a last-minute job last year for 7,500 polo shirts and baseball caps for General Electric (GE) when the company took over Alstom. Imprint, which only had a Barudan four-head at that point, turned to other embroidery companies to help complete the job in the short timeframe. “We were already getting busier so it was on the radar that we’d had to get a new machine – this really brought it home,” explains Andrew. “We used the profit from this job to invest in an eight-head Tajima.”
The new Tajima, says Andrew, is really well designed and very quick, allowing the company to take up even more contract embroidery work as well as its screen printing, transfer and vinyl services.
