In January, GS UK introduced the newly developed Merlin Pro GS-1504 and GS-1506 machines, which it says complement the existing Merlin Pro range of industrial embroidery machines. The new Merlin GS 1504 is a four-head machine with 15 needles and a stitching speed of 1,000spm, large touchscreen and a Intel Quad Micro PC, fully loaded with Windows 10, Merlin Controller Software and Monogram Maestro Software. The GS 1506 has six heads; for more information, see the embroidery showcase in the March issue of Images.
Also new from GS UK is the Digital Factory Cadlink Software V10, which GS UK says can be combined with a camera to allow for “very accurate positioning of prints on a garment”. It added: “As the software allows a print to be applied with pinpoint accuracy, it is an ideal system for adding further decoration to a garment/item that may already have an existing embellishment such as an embroidery etc.”
