Epson has given approval for the growing B-Flex range of film and powder for direct-to-film (DTF) printing to be used with its machines after months of testing.
Technicians at the Epson Demo Center in Milan found that the film and powder from manufacturer B-Flex Italia demonstrated a synergy with Epson printing technologies.
According to B-Flex Italia, the tests proved that its products paired with Epson printers resulted in “bright and long-lasting colours, ultra-sharp details and a soft, elastic hand feel”.
The announcement came as the company prepares to extend its DTF powder offering with special powders designed for printing on “challenging and treated fabrics”.
B-Flex Italia added: “Continuous research and development are part of B-Flex’s DNA, with the goal of offering solutions that simplify professionals’ workflows and increase their effectiveness in the global market.”
B-Flex DTF film features a matt/matt water-based coating and instant hot peel technology, available in a range of sizes and formats and suitable for high production speeds.
Its powder, made to a unique formulation, delivered “enhanced elasticity and softness” in the customisation projects tested at the Epson Demo Center.
B-Flex Italia has also developed its own range of HyperChroma water-based DTF inks, which are compatible with all Epson printheads currently on the market.
