Garment decorator Engineering and Foundry Supplies has expanded its production capabilities by investing in Mimaki’s TxF300-75 direct-to-film (DTF) printer.
The company, based in Colne in Lancashire, installed the machine because of its faster throughput, advanced ink stability and ability to handle a variety of textiles.
It adds to the range of garment decoration techniques available at the business which already included embroidery, screen printing and vinyl printing.
Stephen Frost, director at Engineering and Foundry Supplies, said: “This addition allows us to handle larger orders with faster turnaround times without compromising on the quality our customers expect.
“We’re constantly evolving to support the needs of our clients in manufacturing, engineering and commercial sectors, and this new printer ensures we’re equipped for the future.”
Starting out as a small family business in 1978, Engineering and Foundry Supplies now provides workwear, uniforms, PPE, school uniforms, other branded garments and signage. It is particularly strong in supplying the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
The investment in the Mimaki TxF300-75 DTF, which was launched in late 2023, has “significantly” enhanced the company’s ability to deliver high-quality, high-volume garment decoration to clients across the UK.
Last year, Engineering and Foundry Supplies invested in an eight-head Tajima embroidery machine, more than doubling its embroidery capacity to meet growing demand.
