The Brother PR-655
The two models in the Brother PR range – the PR-1000e (10 needles) and PR-655 (six needles), both single-head machines – are ideal for beginners and existing embroiderers, says J&B Sewing Machine Co.
“Productivity is enhanced by the much lower ‘non-stitching’ time on single-head machines running in tandem,” explains the company. “As an example, on a multi-head machine, a simple thread break stops all heads working, while on the Brother PR range only one head will stop. In addition, when reloading, all heads are stopped on the multi-head machine until all garments are changed, whereas the Brother PR range only stops whilst a single garment is changed. Add the versatility of being able to produce a different design on each head and you can begin to understand why the Brother PR machines are top-selling embroidery machines in the UK.”
These two Brother models feature automatic needle threading, built-in sizeable fonts, high definition ASV LCD touchscreen and a wide selection of frames, including cap frame, cylinder frame (for trouser legs), and the new clamp frame set for boots or pockets.
The PR-1000e also features a camera positioning system that J&B Sewing Machine Co says guarantees perfect design placement, adding: “It’s an amazing accessory that takes the pain out of joining up designs.”
The Brother PRs use standard embroidery design formats .pes .dst and .phc or can be used with the bespoke Brother PE-Design 10 design and digitising software.
