Early adopter Beyond Colour started DTF printing in July 2021. “We had been following DTF on YouTube as it was few years old in the USA. When a machine became available in the UK, we jumped at the chance,“ explains director Les Stephens.

“We had been spending a truckload of money on buying in printed transfers. The opportunity to do it ourselves was a no-brainer. We soon realised that to get the best out of our printer it needed to be used daily. So, we launched a trade service, Beyond Colour Transfers. We still have our first customer using our trade service. We think that speaks volumes about the quality of service we offer.”

The company, which has a Resolute printer, offers an MOQ of one-metre gang sheet. Orders placed before midday can be printed and shipped the same day. “Customers can use our gang sheet builder or, as many customers do, upload print-ready gang sheets they have built in their graphic software.“

Les would like to see “metallic film that works“. He‘s also interested in the new nine-colour printers. “We‘re keen to see it in action and, if it does what is claimed, it could be a new addition,“ he says.
