Lancer International’s new Evolution ink, available from Dalesway Print Technology
New from Lancer International is Evolution, which Dalesway Print Technology calls: “A new breed of screen printing ink.”
Lancer International, a manufacturer of water-based, plastisol and PVC-free plastisol-style screen printing inks, had already created the phthalate-, heavy metal- and azo dye-free range of inks called Excalibur. Evolution, which acts like a plastisol, offers similar benefits, but combines this with the sort of soft hand that is usually associated with water-based inks, but without the drawbacks, says Dalesway.
“Evolution offers a no-fuss solution to screen printers looking for a PVC-free option without the challenges associated with water-based ink, or the hazardous contents of some water-based inks such as cadmium, hexavalent chromium and formaldehyde,” states the company. “The Evolution range of PVC-free plastisol-style inks is the ideal solution for any garment printers, but especially those who demand the highest quality and safest inks in the business.
“Evolution is not just an ink. It is a philosophy of care and safety for both printers and end users. With options including process colours, a Pantone matching system using pigment to base, or ink to ink, special effects and basic colours such as black, white and the very popular Defender to block out the possibility of dye migration from troublesome polyesters, Evolution offers a solution to most businesses.”
Evolution has been certified by Nike for use with its product range and also complies with the requirements of the European Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Dalesway Print Technology explains that the reason it distributes inks from Lancer International is because of the ink manufacturer’s “willingness to not just comply with health and safety requirements, but lead the way to a healthier future for users of their products”.
