Workwear specialist Corporate Trade Supplies (CTS) UK has strengthened its leadership team with three new appointments as it continues to invest and expand.

Kate Ward has been appointed procurement director, Alex Ingham has joined from workwear supplier MI Supplies as commercial director, and Peter Steed has taken over the role of head of production.

The company, based in Northallerton in North Yorkshire, has been expanding production capacity with new equipment and facilities. Growth was boosted by last year’s acquisition of MI Supplies, based in Thornaby in North Yorkshire.

Howard Gill, managing director of CTS UK, said: “These are crucial appointments, strengthening our senior team.

“Kate, Alex and Peter have both the experience and the expertise to make a real difference to our operation, and all three will play a significant role in ensuring that our company remains at the forefront of the UK’s supply chain sector.

“We pride ourselves on creating and maintaining a happy, talented and productive workforce. It is essential to our growth.”

Commenting on her new role as procurement director, Kate added: “I bring a background in supply management, strategic sourcing and supply chain transformation, and I’m excited to apply this experience within a fast-growing, customer-focused organisation.

“CTS is at a pivotal stage as it scales its technology-enabled supply chain solutions, and I’m thrilled to contribute to that journey, strengthening supplier partnerships and delivering insight-led procurement to support the company’s next phase of growth.”

Alongside workwear, CTS supplies businesses with promotional merchandise, business consumables, packaging and retail supplies, with a focus on streamlining the supply chain from procurement to delivery.

Over the past year, the company has spent a six-figure sum investing in new machinery, technology and a brand-new production unit as part of its continued expansion.

Howard said: “This investment will make a real difference to the speed and the efficiency of our production process.”

CTS had a turnover of £45 million last year, representing a large increase year on year, and this is forecast to increase to £100 million by 2028.
