The Carbon Literacy Project (CLP), a Manchester-based project sponsored by ‘Bags For Life’ brand, Westford Mill, was selected as one of 100 Transformative Action Projects from across the world to attend the UN Climate Change summit in Paris in December.

The project was chosen as one of the best responses to tackling climate change, and is being seen as the vital ‘missing link’ between the technology to solve climate change and people’s motivation and action on the issue. The fundamental idea is that everyone who lives, works or studies across Greater Manchester gets a basic understanding of climate change, with training being adapted so that it immediately matters to its audience.
