Free tailored support has been launched to help people in the print industry to improve wellbeing among their teams.
The Printing Charity has launched the Wellbeing Community which provides off-the-shelf resources, guidance and content for anyone responsible for workplace wellbeing.
It has been designed for people in a range of roles from business owners and human resources personnel to mental health first aiders and members of companies’ wellbeing teams.
Community members can sign up to gain access to in-person support from Printing Charity relationship managers, available for on-site visits and roadshows as needed.
They can also get guidance, information and materials including expert-led workplace wellbeing webinars and presentations, and topic toolkits to help with specific issues – all ready to be shared throughout their businesses.

The Printing Charity’s CEO, Neil Lovell, said: “We hear this time and again from people we work with, and findings from the sector-wide research we ran last summer reinforced it: more than seven in ten have a strong sense of workplace belonging and inclusion.
“But we also know from the same conversations that for people leading businesses in our sectors it can feel daunting and challenging to know how to develop a workplace wellbeing programme, particularly against the backdrop of so many competing demands for their time.”
The new support initiative has been launched to tie in with April being Stress Awareness Month. This year’s theme is #BeTheChange, which concentrates on taking action for a positive impact.
Neil added: “The Wellbeing Community is a route through which the Printing Charity can help wellbeing champions in businesses #BeTheChange by accessing workplace wellbeing support entirely free of charge, offering straightforward and tailored resources for businesses of all sizes.”
The charity highlighted that workplace wellbeing is also proven to have a positive impact on businesses’ bottom lines. A large-scale study from academic partners including the London School of Economics found that a “meaningful increase” in employee wellbeing yields, on average, a productivity increase of around 10%.
The Printing Charity already provides in-the-moment emotional support, 24 hours a day, 365 days year through its helpline on 0333 212 3534. Practical information and guidance are available Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm.
