Printing software specialist Caldera has completed a restructuring of its RIP solutions to bring them under a single identity, Caldera RIP.
The company has streamlined its portfolio of distinct brands, such as GrandRIP and VisualRIP, into the new identity alongside a new three-tier pricing structure for different types of businesses.
The latest version of Caldera RIP, version 19, embeds the latest Adobe PDF Print Engine for the best-possible PDF performance and features improvements to streamline and simplify multi-layer printing.
Aimed at garment printers as well as large-format printing, Caldera RIP is offered through a choice of “perpetual licensing” – software ownership with optional upgrades – or subscription licensing for flexible, ongoing usage with version continuity.
These are now packaged as “Essentials” for smaller print shops producing lower-volume applications, “Pro” for mid-range production environments, and “Max” for high-volume including flatbed printing and advanced finishing.
Each tier includes the full feature set so customers no longer pay premiums to unlock capabilities such as colour management or profiling.
Samin Sarkar, Caldera’s general manager, said: “We are heralding the next phase of professional print software: global in scale, local in service and simplified in product structure.”
