Brother Industries has taken control of large-format printer company Mutoh after completing its acquisition of nearly all the outstanding shares.
Mutoh officially became a subsidiary of the Japanese technology giant on Monday after Brother announced the proposed deal in February to support its strategic growth plans.
At the time, the board of directors at Mutoh – also based in Japan – backed the offer and recommended the company’s shareholders to tender their shares.
Mutoh will continue to operate as a subsidiary business although Brother is expected to carry out some restructuring. Visitors will still find Belgian-based Mutoh Europe at Fespa Global Print Expo at Fespa 2026 in Barcelona in May.
