Brother Internationale Industriemaschinen GmbH began the construction of a new 1,500 sqm warehouse in Germany on 23 June 2016. The new warehouse and logistic building will be an addition to the existing facility, and will nearly double the warehouse capacity to around 3,100 sqm (approximately 33,300 sqft).

“This is a necessary step to take due to the increased demand of Industrial Textile Printers and Sewing Machines,” says Valerio Scotti, Managing Director of Brother in Emmerich am Rhein.

For the past few years, the company’s annual turnover has consistently increased by approximately 20%per annum, hence the need for more warehouse capacity. Over the same period, Brother has appointed around five new employees per year to increase the number of professional service engineers, sales & marketing and administration staff it employs.

The new warehouse is estimated to be completed in November 2016.
