The British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) had an extremely busy September with its inaugural show at Silverstone on 14 September and its annual awards event taking place in the evening. Its fourth annual Education Day took place on 13 September, which featured industry legend, Marty Lott of US garment distributors, SanMar.
More than 400 visitors flocked to the show, which featured tech and branding zones, and Innovation Alley. “Excellent show, well attended with quality exhibitors and distributors – there was a great buzz which was great to see following Brexit,” commented Diane Jaggard of Encore Catalogue Group. “The show was well laid out in an excellent venue and location.”
The BPMA has announced that its show and Sourcing City Marketplace will form a brand new event for September 2017, with a focus on bringing together professional distributors, industry suppliers and service companies. Matt Franks, BPMA chairman, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Sourcing City on this venture. We’ve listened to our members and feel a combined show bringing together the best features of the BPMA Show along with the networking of Sourcing City Marketplace will deliver enormous value to our members.” More details will be announced later this year.
The BPMA Awards in the evening at Whittlebury Hall saw £5,989 raised for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Screenworks was awarded Garment Decorator of the Year.
