Schoolwear company Banner has acquired FR Monkhouse, an independent schoolwear retailer based in the north-west.

The deal, which completed in June, was funded by growth capital investors MML Capital Partners. Glenn Leech, Banner’s CEO, commented. “Banner is committed to providing outstanding service to all our retailers and this acquisition will give us valuable insights into how we can further improve our offer. We remain dedicated to raising standards across the industry and building even closer relationships with our retail partners.”

Banner has also introduced the 3D Kit Builder for its Orion sportswear range. The Kit Builder, which has a 360º view option, allows users to design their own custom team kit and view each garment in its entirety. Multiple logos, names and numbers can be added to designs at no additional cost. Manufactured and designed in the UK, the Orion sublimation range promises a four-week delivery timing from receipt of order and final artwork approval; a cut-and-sew option is also available.
