Azonprinter has launched its latest wide format direct-to-garment printer, the Azon Mirage. The large 600 x 800mm format is ideal for printing on a wide range of material and garments, from silk to polyester and from T-shirts to jeans. Designed for high volume printing, the Mirage is a fully automated system with two specially designed dual platens with dimensions of 300 x 500 mm, which can easily be replaced with wider platens if needed.
The maximum resolution is 1440 dpi, and the average fixation time and temperature for colour ink is 25 seconds at 180°C, or 90 seconds at 160°C for colour and white layers. The LCD touchscreen is new and improved while the ink cartridges are now a larger 220ml, while the new Azon RIP offers, says the company, “a sophisticated software solution.” The Mirage also has a servo motor and ball-screw system unlike the previous generations’ belt system, allowing a more accurate forward and backward movement of the printed object.
