Awesome Merchandise has hit its target of £350,000 less than two weeks after it started its Crowdcube campaign, and has now entered an overfunding phase. The campaign is raising investment to support the upcoming launch of the company’s new US facility in Austin, Texas this summer (see Awesome Merchandise to crowdfund US-expansion).
“We are delighted to have reached our goal less than two weeks after we went live on Crowdcube,” said Luke Hodson, who founded the business in 2005 and owns it with his wife Charlotte. “Having so many investors involved in Awesome is really exciting for us, with many customers, friends and family now being a crucial part of our journey. We are now overfunding and will leave the campaign open until we reach £750,000 or the end of the campaign. The support and response we have had to our Crowdcube campaign and growth plans has been really positive and encouraging and we can’t wait to get started on taking Awesome onto the next stages.”
