Alexandra Workwear, which provides a wide range of uniforms, officially opened a new staff training centre at its Thornbury headquarters in June.
The company, which came out of administration in 2010, has grown the number of job roles by 20% in recent years, invested in internal training management and new training programmes, and established an employee forum. The new training facility offers a space in which to run training and self-development courses, brainstorming exercises, team meetings and presentations. Managing director Martin Lyne explained: “With the creation of our own training facility, we are making a tangible, positive investment in our people.
“Our position as the trusted experts in workwear is held through the expertise of our people. As a customer-centric brand with continuous improvement at the core of our philosophy, we recognise the importance of investing in and listening to our people. Our people are brand ambassadors.”
