Garment wholesaler Absolute Apparel has added nearly 9,000 square metres of space after acquiring a second unit.

The 8,600 square metres (93,000 square feet) at Halesfield Industrial Estate in Telford in Shropshire provide a detached three bay industrial premises incorporating a warehouse and offices.

It is in addition to Absolute Apparel’s existing 26,000 sqm (6.5 acre) headquarters in Wolverhampton which is home to its 14,000 sqm (150,000 sqft) national distribution centre.

Frank Jheinga, director of Absolute Apparel, said: “We are very happy to have purchased this site in Telford as our current Wolverhampton facility isn’t large enough to cope with our growing capacity.

“With the two sites we will now have over 240,000 square feet available, allowing us to store approximately 15,000 pallets at any time.”

Richard Bradbury from commercial property specialist Bulleys Bradbury added: “Acting for the tenant, Portion Solutions, we arranged a surrender of their lease and simultaneous sale to Absolute Apparel, which proposes to commence trading at the property shortly following the completion of refurbishment works.” London Property Partners acted for the vendor.
