There’s increased customer demand to colour match across our brand, with bottle green and red recently added to our RX402 and RX500 range. We believe this meets the needs of our customers for uniformity, where they easily can mix and match styles while keeping colour consistency. Are there any specific design features that your customers are currently asking for? There’s a growing demand in the trade and construction sectors for highly functional, durable, and utility-focused workwear, with the Tradesman Trouser, the RX603, emerging as a top choice among customers. Its key features include a secure zip fly front closure, a partelasticated waistband for an adjustable fit, and extensive storage options such as holster, side, and utility pockets, including a dedicated ruler pocket and a multipurpose pocket suitable for smartphones. The design includes external kneepad pockets with tear-and-release fastenings, two reinforced rear patch pockets, and a durable hammer loop. The Tradesman Trouser has become popular because it effectively supports efficiency, mobility, and protection without the need for additional accessories or layers. What fabrics are popular this year? One of the standout fabric choices in workwear this year has been microfleece, particularly for its effectiveness as a layering piece. With a weight of 200gsm, it creates an even balance between warmth and breathability, making it well-suited for transitional weather and colder months. What new workwear styles can readers expect to see later this year and moving into 2026? We constantly assess our brand offering and we identified a gap in our garment range, specifically in the microfleece fabric. This led to the development of the RX415, a quarter-zip microfleece top scheduled for release later this Becca Macher Workwear year. The RX415 features a side panel insert designed to enhance shape and fit, providing a flattering silhouette. It’s a highly versatile piece that is ideal as a standalone layer during warmer months, and perfect for layering under gilets or outerwear during colder seasons. I think this style of garment will continue to see growth across the market as we move into2026. How popular is workwear as a brandable product? Branded workwear is becoming a key part of identity and marketing across industries from construction and logistics to hospitality, retail and corporate. Uniforms might have once been viewed as purely functional, but they are now valued for their role in boosting brand visibility, customer trust, and team morale. On top of that, online customisation and streamlined ordering have made branded gear more accessible than ever. Today, workwear isn’t just about dressing the team, it is a high-impact branding tool. To customers targeting this segment, now is an ideal time to develop marketing campaigns around branded bundles to help push the range on offer! RX305, our 1/4 zip released in January 2023, has been a rising star. I believe this style will continue to do well and its popularity will continue to increase as quarter zips offer a smart and convenient look. It shares fabric with RX350 and RX301, and we expect the RX305 to start to catch up on sales of these two. Plus, the introduction of the RX305hasoffered another garment option for our customers who already like our hoodie fabric. How are you helping customers sell more workwear, and what tools or resources have you found most effective? One of the biggest things we’ve been working on is our new customer-facing website, which we’re thrilled to have just launched. It’s been completely redesigned with usability and functionality in mind and it’s part of our larger effort to modernise how we support printers and embroiderers and make it easier for them to work with us. prortx.com
